Great Experiences on Shanghai Travel

We really enjoyed our shopping tour. This tour completely takes away the stress of navigating traffic, finding addresses, and haggling for bargains.

Our guide Shanghai tours was friendly and knowledgeable and really took good care of us. We got lots of good information ahead of time, and the arrangements were very easy to make.

I would recommend this tour very highly.

A great experience from initial enquiry, to booking, customer service and advice from Suzy and MJ before arriving in Shanghai, doing the shopping tour, customer service after the tour and after I arrived back in Australia. We did the Best of China educational tours Everything tour. Our day with Suzy was awesome - Suzy was great fun, very informative and very helpful with hints on where and how to shop and bargain. My only regret is I did not book another day with Suzy and Shopping Tours Shanghai. You absolutely must try Yang's fried dumplings! Suzy also assisted me in purchasing some items via a website based in China and hand delivered the items to me on the day of our tour. To make your visit to the fantastic city of Shanghai even more awesome book a tour with a Shopping Tours Shanghai.

I recommend you schedule your tour very early in your trip in order to have items custom made. I brought multiple pictures of a couture cashmere and leather coat I wanted made. Not knowing the price I was Yangtze River cruises relieved to find our first stop was with this tailor. The cost was incredibly affordable, in fact a fraction of what I expected and the finished coat is fabulous, better than pictured or expected (gorgeous cashmere and NZ lambskin) Prepare to be amazed! Since the negotiated price was so much lower than expected, the scarves, silk duvet and sheets, leather handbags, sunglasses, watches, etc were such a bargain, and I came home under budget.

You will receive great information and have a wonderful time. They were able to answer all my questions and the restaurant recommendations turned out to be our favorite in the city. When I think about trying to figure out the city and the shopping without the tour the entire experience would have been overwhelming, but with what I learned and the contacts I made through MJ and Suzy I was able to tackle the city with a surprising degree of confidence and success. First Shanghai Travel of Shopping

I loved my first tour in March but actually think the one I just did in October was even better.....everything I got or had China tours made was great and i will definitely do the tour again next time I am visiting Shanghai.

Taking advantage of the experience and knowledge that the girls have gathered over the years just makes shopping in Shanghai so easy and enjoyable....and much cheaper in the long run....and the service Yangtze River cruises and guarantees they give are just brilliant. Can't recommend this tour enough.

Shanghai tours

I can't talk highly enough about this day. I was feeling a bit jaded by the big malls, uncertain about how to tackle the markets, the bartering and also how to find some good quality local wares. This day sorted it all out for me. We went to a range of interesting places tailored to our particular interests. I would never have found these places on my own. MJ was informative and helpful when needed but didn't crowd your shopping experience either. She was alsoShanghai travel guide great fun. Lunch was a highlight also. Would probably do another of these next time I come to shanghai.

Mum and I travelled to Shanghai last year and the Shanghai Shopping Tour was all booked out. This year, as soon as we booked our flights, we booked the full day tour. Hooray, we had a brilliant day with MJ. I don't like to shop ... Im more of a 'smash and grab' kind of gal. So getting my bearings and getting great advice about how to go about things was brilliant. Last year I had 5 jackets made, this year with MJs contacts, I had 7 jackets, 3 skirts and 4 tops made. All are beautifully made and I found a place that handmade shoes, Suzhou Shoes, where I bought 2 pairs. I spent under $800AUD! I spent a little bit more on a wonderful silk doona (not that I expected to do so, but happy that I did) and some wonderful gifts for people. Mum loved it Shanghai tour package also and it was a perfect introduction to Shanghai life. Do it - its fun and the lunch was beautiful. Liana

Not only did we get some amazing tailored clothing(they literally made a womens suit for me in less than 12 hours!) but we learned so much about the culture & tips for the rest of our stay in china. MJ is such a fun person & she really makes sure you have a great time! If you want tailored clothes for cheap, love shopping & finding deal, or just want to learn more about Shanghai & things it has to offer I would recommend this tour! One of my husbands favorite spots was the silk factory..they show you how their silk is made and even let you help a little..very cool experience! When we go back to Shanghai..we will definatly book another tour through Shopping Tours Shanghai! Overall a wonderful experience!

We had an incredible private shopping tour with MJ from Shopping Tours Shanghai. I was slightly reluctant to pay for a shopping tour when I consider myself a skilled shopper. However, being a first time Yangtze River cruises visitor to Shanghai, I would have never found the nooks and deals that MJ found for us. The prescription glasses alone were a a great buy (saving literally thousands of dollars from US retail). We came away with 2 cashmere coats, clothes, glasses and great gifts for our friends.

Shanghai tours

I would highly recommend this company - shopping is their business and student tours to China they are constantly searching for new shops opening. They are most definitely the experts!

We met Emily without any problems and there began the shopping trip of a lifetime. All our desires were met from beautifully tailor made clothes (fabrics to die for), modern exquisite ceramics, prescription glasses and stunning freshwater pearls, hand knotted in front of our very eyes - mesmerising! The food along the way was delicious and fun. Emily's communication skills eased our way and gave us confidence to return on our own (three times's no less). The recommendations Emily gave for pampering, food and other guided tours were perfect. Emily filled us with confidence for China tour coping on our own for the remainder of our visit and her follow up on one tiny matter was impressive. We are already planning our next Shanghai Shopping trip.
